March 15, 2018 (FORT MYERS, FL.): Succession Partners is pleased to announce that Elaine Rubin will join New York and Company (NYSE: NWY) as Advisory Director of the Board effective with its May meeting. Elaine is Founder, President, and Chief Prophet of Digital Prophets Network, a consultancy she launched in 2010 to transform organizations into more customer-centric, digitally-savvy, and forward thinking enterprises. She also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Smart & Final (NYSE: SFS), as Advisor to Hint, Inc., member of Shop.Org’s Think Tank, and founder of Retreat and Distrupt. Elaine is a thought leader perhaps best known as founder, Chairman, and member of Shop.Org which became the leading membership community for internet retailing (acquired by the National Retail Federation in 2001). She served on the NRF Board for 5 years and was awarded the prestigious Silver Medal Award in 2008. Earlier, Elaine spent more than 20 years in roles of increasing responsibilities with 1-800-Flowers, iVillage, and Amazon.com. She is a graduate of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School where she earned a BBA in Marketing. The search was conducted by Ric Comins, Founder/CEO of Succession Partners.
